The Bible reveals Jesus being from the earthly Israelite tribe of Judah, and His coming was foretold in ancient times. As the symbol of earthly rule in regal power, the “Lion of Judah” lets us know that our Savior cannot be challenged by anyone or anything. He strides through His kingdom, reassuring all who love Him that He alone has the power of life and death. It was this reality that gave boldness to His disciples two thousand years ago and gives us hope and courage in today’s world.
